MEMBERSHIP CHARGES

Included in membership charges are dues and assessments, subscription to The Cattleman ($25 per year) and contribution to Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association PAC (5 cents per head as suggested amount). Only the contribution to TSCRA PAC is optional and may be deducted from the total if not desired.

This form may be used for membership renewals and new membership applications.

Payments of membership dues to the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary expense of your business; however, they are not deductible as a charitable contribution. A portion of these dues is not deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense to the extent that Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association engages in lobbying. The non-deductible portion of dues beginning with the year 1996 is five percent.

MEMBERSHIP SIGN LEASE

For the consideration set out below by the undersigned Lessee, The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association does hereby lease and rent unto the said Lessee the number of membership signs indicated above, for as long as the said Lessee shall remain a member of the Association in good standing. In the event said Lessee ceases to be a member of the Association in good standing, this lease shall terminate; and Lessee is obligated to return said signs, and if same are not returned, the agents or representatives of the Association are authorized to enter upon the premises of said Lessee and take possession of said signs.




APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

To the President and Members of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association:

I hereby state that I desire to become a member of this Association, and CERTIFY THAT I HAVE ACCURATELY AND CORRECTLY RENDERED THE CATTLE WHICH I OWN. In case of acceptance, I agree to conform to the by-laws governing the Association and to pay all costs of membership provided for by the Association at Fort Worth, Texas.




PAC CONTRIBUTIONS

Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association PAC (TSCRA PAC), 1301 W. Seventh Street, Suite 201, Fort Worth, Texas 76102, 800-242-7820. This communication is not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.

TSCRA PAC solicits contributions from TSCRA members for use in federal and state elections. Contributions to TSCRA PAC are subject to the prohibitions and limitations of the Federal Election Campaign Act and state election laws. Your contribution to TSCRA PAC will be reported as required by federal and state law. These contributions are entirely voluntary, and a TSCRA member will not be favored or disfavored by reason of the amount of their contribution, or a decision not to contribute.

Contributions to TSRCA PAC should be written on personal checks. TSRCA PAC cannot accept funds from corporations, as funds from corporations cannot be used for federal or state elections. Therefore, membership dues paid by corporate check should deduct 5 cents/head. Feedlots deduct $42.90. Allied Industry deduct $19.80. However, corporate checks can be deposited in the general revenue fund of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association to be used for non-election Association activities.

Federal and state law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the full name and address, principal occupation or job title, and full name of employer of individual contributors. To satisfy these regulations, please include your occupation and employer information in the space provided on the form.
